Tips for Maintaining Your Electric Motorcycle

Just like any other electric or electronic gadget, an electric motorcycle would greatly benefit from regular maintenance and cleaning. Don’t be misled – An electric motorcycle requires a lot less maintenance and servicing than a regular Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) motorcycle, which is a motorcycle fuelled by petrol or gasoline.

Keeping It Clean

Just like any other electric or electronic gadget, an electric motorcycle would greatly benefit from regular maintenance and cleaning.

Don’t be misled – An electric motorcycle requires a lot less maintenance and servicing than a regular Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) motorcycle, which is a motorcycle fuelled by petrol or gasoline.

However, keeping your electric motorcycle clean, simply by wiping it down occasionally every few weeks, or giving it a good spray down with a water hose, will definitely help.

One reason for this is simply comfort – Sitting on a clean seat, gripping clean handlebars will make the ride feel a lot more comfortable when you’re cruising on your Iso Motorcycles UNO-X.

However, another reason would also be for maintaining the top performance capabilities of your electric motorcycle.

Although the UNO-X is dust-proof, debris-resistant and water-resistant, taking care of your machine will ensure that your machine takes care of you.

Additionally, as the UNO-X is fully sealed against the elements, you can be sure that when you hose down your electric motorcycle, there is no risk at all to the vehicle.

Regular Servicing

As the Iso Motorcycles UNO-X comes with a matching app compatible on both the iOS App Store and the Android Google Play Store, it will very intelligently inform you of needed servicing dates and software updates.

All this helps to ensure that you don’t even need to keep track of mileage records as with a regular ICE motorcycle, and you can cruise on your UNO-X without a single worry!

The Iso Motorcycles UNO-X comes with an intelligent on-board and remote app system that communicates with each other. Why is this important?

Ever had a symbol light up on your dashboard, then wonder what it means? You’d then have to search through your vehicles manual, or turn to Google in order to try to find out what it means, and what you’d have to.

With the Iso Motorcycles UNO-X smart app, you’ll never have to wonder any more.

Keeping Batteries Fresh

The Iso Motorcycles UNO-X uses some of the best rated and highly valued battery cells available, Lithium-Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide cells, otherwise known as Li-NMC.

The battery pack carries you and the UNO-X for an estimated range of 130 kilometers, with a capacity of 42 Ah, and 3.24 kWh of energy.

There’s no need for any special treatment with the Iso Motorcycles UNO-X – With the smart charging technology, you can leave the electric motorcycle plugged in overnight, and the charger will self-regulate the charging power and speed to ensure your electric motorcycle is fully charged in 4 hours or less.

On a day-to-day usage, there is not much to be concerned about.

If you are however leaving on a long holiday, say a month or longer, try to leave the batteries stored with a battery life of at least 40%. This will ensure the battery has sufficient power levels to discharge gradually, and lengthen the longevity of your battery life.

Software Updates

As mentioned before, the Iso Motorcycles UNO-X comes with a matching smart app, available on both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.

The app intelligently communicates with the electric motorcycle, even giving you a live feed of your available range, trip info, battery life, trip history, energy consumption, and more. All this, even from your sofa in your living room!

Be sure to update your app as updates are released and rolled out, as Iso Motorcycles is always working to improve not only the user experience, but also the performance and user-friendliness of the electric motorcycle itself.
